Open with a strong first line. This lead paragraph is set slightly larger to draw the reader in — replace it with the heart of your piece.

This is a normal body paragraph. Write as much as you like; the reading column is capped at a comfortable width for long-form text. You can link to sources, and the type is sized and spaced for easy reading.

Break longer pieces into sections. Headings help readers scan and give the essay a sense of movement from one idea to the next.
